Here are the 3 top farm-to-table restaurants in Southern Oregon!
You may be asking what farm-to-table means. Farm-to-Table is a social movement that promotes serving locally grown/sourced foods at the local restaurants and businesses. It is about supporting the farms, fisheries, wineries, etc. that are in the businesses local community. There has recently been a move towards Farm-toTable restaurants since the pandemic has caused a lot of these establishments to struggle financially. Working with local farms and other types of food producers has allowed local businesses to help each other out and helps the environment as a whole by supporting healthy and sustainable eating. Here are just some of the many restaurants doing this work in Southern Oregon.
Ma Mosa’s in Grants Pass
Ma Mosa’s is a cozy farm-to-table establishment located in downtown Grants Pass. It was opened in 2012 by two high school friends, Carrie Catterall and Jodi Haines, to fill the gap in healthy creative breakfast options. The café is vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free friendly, uses only GMO-free ingredients, and sources from local farmers within a 100 mile radius, usually closer. Every dish is made to order from scratch, including the specials that change regularly.
Ma Mosa’s collaborates with many local growers in the surrounding Rogue and Applegate valleys, notably Pennington Farms (berries galore), Wandering Roots, SweetWater Farm, Whispering Oaks (their sole provider of organic eggs), Terra Sol Organics (for sprouts), and craft producers such as Salinity Salts and By George Farm.
Over Easy in Medford
Description of restaurant – Over Easy is a brunch spot located in Downtown Medford. This place was started by a couple who loves breakfast and wanted to bring a new twist to it. What started as a pop-up has turned into one of the most loved breakfast spots in Medford. Since they are located in Southern Oregon where we have amazing seasons, they wanted to make sure the food they were serving was locally grown/sourced. They make sure that they get local foods whenever they can and they seem to always find what they are looking for from the multiple farmers in the area. This shows in their changing menu. The menu rarely stays the same since they are always looking for the freshest ingredients and go with whatever is in season.
Over Easy also makes everything from scratch. They make their biscuits and pastries fresh each morning, they make things like mushroom gravy and roasted corn daily. They do anything they can do same day so that it is as fresh as possible and as tasty as possible!

They are currently partnered with the following local farms: Wandering Roots Farm, Happy Dirt Veggie Patch, RA Farms, Mushrooms All Year, Valley View Beef, and Rogue Produce.
